Intermediate Tumbling & Cheer Classes for Ages 7+ in Danbury, CT
Ready for the Next Level?
Premier Training Center's Intermediate program is designed for athletes who have developed their fundamental tumbling skills and are ready to progress into handsprings and more advanced cheerleading skills.
Our intermediate training focuses on technique, strength, flexibility, body control and proper skill progression rather than simply rushing athletes to the next skill.
Intermediate Tumbling
Intermediate Tumbling focuses on developing front and back handsprings, bounders and connected tumbling skills such as round-off handsprings and multiple handsprings.
Athletes build the technique, strength and body positions necessary to progress safely toward more advanced tumbling.
Athletes entering Intermediate Tumbling should have a solid back walkover and front walkover.
Training may include:
Back handspring technique
Front handsprings
Bounders
Round off progressions
Connecting tumbling skills
Standing tumbling
Strength and body control
Handspring Clinic
Want additional handspring training?
Our Handspring Clinic is an express, fast-track class focused specifically on developing front and back handsprings.
Rather than covering multiple types of tumbling skills during class, athletes spend their training time working specifically on the drills, technique, strength and repetitions needed to improve their handsprings.
This is a great supplemental class for athletes who are actively working toward mastering their handsprings.
Levels 1–2 Cheer Training
Designed for Level 1 athletes who are ready to begin developing Level 2 stunting and tumbling skills.
Athletes work on cheer-specific technique and progressions that can help prepare them for the next competitive level.
Training includes both stunt and tumble development in a structured environment focused on progression and proper technique.
Strength Training
Strong athletes build stronger skills.
PTC Strength Training helps athletes develop the physical foundation needed for tumbling, stunting and overall athletic performance.
Training focuses on age-appropriate strength, body control, stability and conditioning that translates directly into cheerleading and tumbling.
Flexibility & Stability
Flexibility alone isn't enough.
Our Flexibility & Stability class combines mobility with the strength and body control athletes need to properly maintain positions.
This class is especially beneficial for flyers but can help athletes in all positions improve flexibility, stability, body awareness and overall performance.
Train at a Championship-Level Program
Advanced training at PTC takes place within a program that understands what it takes to compete successfully at the highest levels of All Star cheerleading.
Premier Training Center athletes have earned major accomplishments on the national stage, including a D2 Summit Championship, CHEERSPORT championship and Summit medalist finishes.
Our goal is not simply to teach athletes new skills.
It's to develop strong, technically sound and confident athletes who are prepared to use those skills when it matters.
THE STANDARD.
Build the Skills for What's Next
PTC's developmental system gives athletes somewhere to go as they progress.
Intermediate athletes can continue building their handsprings, strength and cheer skills before advancing into training involving tucks, layouts, fulls and higher-level competitive cheerleading.
